Train runs pretty much all day long and costs $2 per ticket. it’s a great way to see the park on a hot or rainy day!
Reindeer
Yup, actual reindeer! Most likely Santa’s herd, on loan for the summer zoo season? ps…and no, he wasn’t there. There’s a pub in town so we’ll say he was ‘at the well’

Tall and spooky these things look like they could peck your eyeballs out!

Smokin fast horse-like animal with long slender horns….kinda neat.
Mountain Sheep
This is the only exhibit that can be seen before you get inside. There are 4 or 5 sheep and you can get fairly close to them.
Hippos
Usually rarely seen as they are underwater, this time round they were lazing in the sun close by!
Pink Flamingos
Colorful and noisy, these birds really put on a show!

Nasty looking animal…what do these big birds actually do?

Now these birds are a must-see item when at the zoo. If you can catch them at feeding time they never cease to amaze!

The buffalo normally are seen from a small bus that goes through the fenced areas but the zoo was performing renos while we were there.

Dark entrance to one of the tunnels. It’s dark, damp, and almost spooky in there! reat place to cool off in the heat of the summer. The contrast between outside and inside temperature is amazing!
